The journey began in 1965 with the D55 engine, a compact 83 cm³ single-cylinder two-stroke delivering 5.5 hp. Since then, SUZUKI MARINE has continuously invested in research and development, introducing revolutionary technologies such as electronic fuel injection, the Lean-Burn system, and the Dual Propeller drive.

Among the major milestones:

• 1985: launch of the first V6 engines DT150 and DT200

• 1987: first Innovation Award for the DT200 in the United States

• 2011: introduction of the Lean-Burn system with the DF300AP
